Software engineer / Applied AI / Open source
Building software that makes complex systems useful.
I'm Maharshi Barot. I work across intelligent applications, robotics, backend systems, and product engineering — creating software that's thoughtful, testable, and designed for real use.
Scope the use case, constraints, and trade-offs.
Develop the system, test critical paths, iterate.
Document results, monitor behavior, contribute back.

Background / Toolkit
A little more about my work
I enjoy turning technical complexity into usable experiences — and making sure the underlying system holds up.
Experience & education
I'm pursuing an M.S. in Computer & Information Science at Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi. As a Teaching Assistant, I help undergraduates develop practical programming skills.
My engineering projects combine software architecture, test-driven thinking, and product-focused implementation.
Technologies I work with
- Languages: Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, C++, Go.
- Web & backend: React, React Native, Next.js, Node.js, FastAPI, .NET.
- AI & systems: AI agents, RAG, AWS, ROS 2, Nav2, Gazebo.
- Delivery: PostgreSQL, Firebase, Docker, GitHub Actions.
Language distribution
Primary languages across my original public repositories, sourced from GitHub rather than inferred proficiency.
Collaboration and quality
I care about reproducible bug reports, code reviews, regression tests, documentation, and getting fixes into the actual upstream projects.
You'll find those practices across my development work and pull requests.
